The Baton Itinerary in The Falkland Islands

The following events were carried out for the Baton whilst Alan and Tim are in the Falkland Islands.  We would like to thank Tim Lowe and Tina Hirtle for their dedicated help in arranging so much for Alan and The Baton.

The Baton was…

• Carried throughout the Stanley Marathon
• Included in the 7pm service at the Christ Church Cathedral.
• Be run by the Junior and Senior School students who will take part in a Baton relay run to Mount Tumbledown and back to the Memorial in Stanley.Taken to as many memorials as possible.
• Included in the laying of a memorial Wooden Pebble at the HMS SHEFFIELD memorial in memory of Darryl Cope, by request of his family.
• Be present at the presentations of pennants from the Towns people of Honiton and Baton to the Islands Governor, to both Schools from the Baton and from Honiton Running Club to the Stanley Running Club.
