One Year On…

What an incredible first year its been for the Baton, wonderful people giving their time and support for an idea already achieving its aims and being taken very seriously, without them the Baton wouldn’t exist.

I feel exceptionally privileged to have met such special people throughout the year, so inspiring in their efforts – and what a finish to our first year and the start of our second to see at the height of the proceedings, Ram Patten carrying the Baton with the Book of Remembrance into the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

In the coming year we’ll see the Baton and its message again crossing continents as well as many domestic projects, I wish everyone the best of luck with all that is being planned and thank you most sincerely for your belief in the cause of being loyal to those who loyally serve, not just for the short term but for the lifetime of those who will need that loyalty.

I’m also extremely proud to say that we will have some money to give away, which in our first year I think incredible – well done everyone!

Wishing everyone in the coming festive season all they’d wish themselves, especially good health, but please take a moment to reflect and think about those we care for who won’t be with their families and friends this Christmas.
