How you can help

The primary aim of The Baton is to Keep the Message Alive! not necessarily to raise funds.

However, we understand that there are many special people in this country who will want to do just that and donations are already being made.

Our aim is that any donations received will be used to promote the Message.  As we are not building, staffing or equipping anything and as much as possible is done on a voluntary basis means that the majority of the money raised will be distributed to existing forces charities and causes allied to them.

Most importantly we want people to become involved by carrying The Baton themselves and promoting the Message in their own special way, without the pressure of having to raise money. It could be walking, riding, abseiling, canoeing, walking dogs, riding horses. Baton dinner parties are also being planned where the Baton and Cradle are the centre piece.

All we ask is that wherever the Baton goes, so do the flyers explaining what we are trying to achieve.

As with most issues that concern our society today, we are all the ‘they’ in ‘they should do something’.

How many of us regularly pass comment on how terrible something is but don’t think about doing anything about it ourselves? If we can all do one small thing perhaps we really can bring about change for the better.
