The Baton Run 2015…

As in the past the team started the run from inside a C17 Globemaster of 99 Sqn who have repatriated our fallen and wounded www.raf.mod.uk/organisation/99squadron.cfm

Our sincere thanks to RAF Brize Norton Station Commander Group Captain Simon Edwards for allowing us the hospitality of beginning the run from such an appropriate place and for starting the team off on its 110 mile relay run.

A very special thanks to Csgt Chas Brown and the Plymouth Royal Marine Cadets who got up in the very early hours specially to travel up to Staffordshire so they could give the team a ‘guard of honour’… what a fabulous gesture and so much appreciated.

The team presented cheques of £500 each to the RAFBF and National Memorial Arboretum.

The runners all did well starting at 1830 Saturday finishing at 1030 Sunday…all would be the first to thank the incredible support team that glues the whole event together, without their stamina and dedication it simply could not work – also to HARTS of Honiton, Devon and Hamilton Garage Sidford, Devon for supplying a Safety Car that as usual never missed a beat.

The planning now starts for the Baton Run 2016…
