A brave lady walking 22 miles for the Baton and SSAFA Devon – Sunday October 15th 2017
On Sunday October 15th Kirsty-ann Johnstone’s challenge to herself is to walk 22 miles from Buckfastleigh to the Citadel Plymouth carrying a Baton where she hopes friends will be there to see her in, Alan will be walking all the way with her. Kirsty is aiming to complete the walk in approximately 7 and a half hours.
When Kirsty needed support the Baton was there and with Alan’s SSAFA VP Devon hat on, able to support further. Kirsty is a member of the Plymouth Military Wives Choir and has been through and still suffers a tremendous amount of pain, especially through Fibromyalgia which can be very debilitating.
The Stones 2017 R-L Baton Trustee Baz Gray RM Baton Stalwart Mark White RM and Alan will be tackling the famous gruelling 100k across the ancient Ridgeway finishing at the standing stones of Avebury July 15th/16th – carrying the Baton all the way, the team will be spreading the Baton’s Message of Conscience as they go..
